Humanisme et papaut\u00e9 \u00e0 la fin du Grand Schisme<\/em>, Ceyz\u00e9rieu, Champ Vallon, 2021, 424p.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cet ouvrage met en pleine lumi\u00e8re un moment d\u00e9cisif mais relativement m\u00e9connu de la naissance du mouvement humaniste dans l\u2019Italie du d\u00e9but du Quattrocento : ce n\u2019est pas \u00e0 Florence, mais \u00e0 la cour des papes revenue \u00e0 Rome que s\u2019\u00e9panouit et s\u2019affirme une nouvelle g\u00e9n\u00e9ration d\u2019intellectuels, au sein d\u2019un milieu cosmopolite, travaillant dans l\u2019administration pontificale et au service des \u00e9lites eccl\u00e9siastiques. Et c\u2019est dans un contexte de crise profonde, le Grand Schisme d\u2019Occident, que la papaut\u00e9 s\u2019ouvre \u00e0 l\u2019id\u00e9al d\u2019une Renaissance.
